Abstract Guidelines for UPISACON 2025
We invite you to submit and showcase your research work as podium presentations, Eposters or “complications in one minute session” for the upcoming UPISACON 2025.
Guidelines for Submission of Abstract
🔰 Abstracts must be the original work.
🔰 Abstracts must be submitted through the official online submission portal only. (Scroll to the end of this webpage)
🔰 The abstract content should be in English and must not exceed 250 words / 1500 characters (excluding author names, affiliations, title, and references).
🔰 You may upload one image or table if necessary.
🔰 Abstracts must be uploaded in MS Word format (.doc or .docx) only.

Rules & Regulations - For Podium Presentations
🔰 Only original research (with ethical clearance) and case series (with informed consent) will be accepted.
🔰 Abstracts must follow the structured format: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
🔰 Interim analyses (minimum 50% of sample size completed) may be submitted but must be clearly mentioned in the title.
🔰 Incomplete studies without results will not be accepted.
Rules & Regulations - For E-Poster Presentations
🔰 Acceptable submissions include original research, case series, and case reports (all with appropriate consent and approvals).
🔰 Abstract format must include: Introduction, Case Report / Methodology, Conclusion
Rules & Regulations - For “Complications in One Minute” (COM) Session
🔰 The competitive appetizer will be divided into 2 sessions : Resident category (Include junior resident, senior resident, fellows) or post resident (include faculty, private practitioners or academicians)
1- Prepare a 1 slide presentation showcasing either - any complication or Complication followed by management during your anaesthesia practice
2- It may also have images, animations, or videos in the same slide
3- One participant can submit up to 2 entries
4- 6 entries will be selected in each category for final presentation during conference and judged accordingly by the jury
5- Timing will be 1min for presentation +3 mins for question and answers on the final day
6- Rest all the entries will be showcased as e-poster
7- Finalist will be communicated well before time and will also be given an opportunity to improvise their slide for the final day.
🔰 Tricks to make an impressive COM slide: make an impressive and catchy title; include multimedia; stick to time; highlight points to be emphasized.
General Guidelines
🔰 All abstracts will undergo a blinded peer review process by the scientific committee.
🔰 The decision of acceptance or rejection rests solely with the UPISACON 2025 Scientific Committee.
🔰 Selected abstracts will be informed via email with further presentation instructions.
🔰 Presentation Time: Paper: 5 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A | Poster: 3 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A
Eligibility Criteria
🔰 Open to Postgraduate students, Senior Residents, Fellows, Faculty members and Practicing Consultants.
🔰 The presenting author must be registered for UPISACON 2025.
🔰 Submissions from PGs and Fellows must be accompanied by a Bonafide Certificate from the Head of Department (uploaded along with the abstract).
🔰 The committee may request additional documentation as part of the review process.
Deadline
🔰 All abstract entries must be submitted before 31st August 2025 (12 midnight). The form will be closed after that.
